Most screw-in dart points share the M2.5 thread, so Target Swiss Point, Harrows Quick Point and Winmau Switch Point points largely cross over between those brands' barrels. The fit is not universal: Swiss Points typically do not seat fully in Winmau Switch Point barrels, and Caliburn EVO and One80 R2 barrels should only take their own points.
This guide maps every pairing in our compatibility data and lists the darts in our database that use each system. For how each locking mechanism works, see our interchangeable tip systems guide.
Which Replacement Points Fit Which Barrels?
Find the system your dart uses, then read across to the other points our data confirms in that barrel. Model counts are unique models in the MyDartFinder database as of October 2026.
| Barrel system | Thread | Point tool | Other points that fit | Models in our database |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Target Swiss Point | M2.5 | Swiss Point key | Quick Point, Bull's CP, Caliburn EZ-EVO, Mission R2.5 (looser), Switch Point (may sit slightly proud; confirm barrel by barrel) | 189 |
| Harrows Quick Point | M2.5 | Quick Point key | Swiss Point, Switch Point, Mission R2.5, Bull's CP, Caliburn EZ-EVO | 32 |
| Winmau Switch Point (incl. Red Dragon) | M2.5 | Switch Point tool | Quick Point (tighter fit), Bull's CP, Caliburn EZ-EVO. Not Swiss Point | 20 |
| Shot Turbo Point | Screw-in, size not stated | Turbo Point key | Swiss Point, Quick Point, Switch Point | 23 |
| Bull's Convertible Point | Screw-in, made for M2.5 points | Bull's CP tool | Switch Point, Mission R2.5, Swiss Point (tighter), Quick Point (tighter) | 8 |
| Mission R2.5 Rapid | M2.5 | Mission R2.5 tool | None tested yet: own points only | 8 |
| Caliburn EZ-EVO | M2.5 | Check with Caliburn | Mission R2.5 (check the seat). Not Swiss or Switch Point | 6 |
| Caliburn EVO | Own spigot, not M2.5 | Caliburn Re-Point and Point Driver tools | Own points only | 50 |
| One80 R2 Interchange | Pressed point, screw-on nose cap | Check with One80 | None tested: own points only | 13 |
Pairings come from fit-test videos, retailer compatibility tables, owner reports and point makers' own claims; a shared thread alone does not count as a fit. "Tighter", "looser" and "may sit slightly proud" mark fits that seat less cleanly than the barrel's own point, and "check the seat" marks a fit tested on an unspecified Caliburn barrel. Pairings not listed are ruled out, unconfirmed or untested (see below).
Why Do Most Screw-In Points Cross Over?
Most screw-in points cross over because Target, Harrows, Winmau and Red Dragon build their systems on the same M2.5 thread. One launch review describes M2.5 as "the one that we can interchange and put points from each one in each other's darts", and Mission's R2.5 Rapid system has joined that family. Caliburn's EZ-EVO points use the same thread and are sold for all three original systems.
A shared thread is still not a guaranteed seat. One video guide to the screw-in systems warns that "compatibility isn't automatic" and that "using the correct brand's points with the correct brand's barrel will give you the best fit." Match brands for your main set and keep cross-fit points as spares.
Which Pairings Should You Avoid?
- Swiss Points in Winmau Switch Point barrels: two or more independent fit-test videos show the point starting to thread and stopping short, leaving a gap at the joint. One owner reports that newer Winmau barrels may accept them, but no fit test confirms it yet.
- Swiss and Switch Points in Caliburn EZ-EVO barrels: the only owner report says neither seats fully in Caliburn barrels, despite the shared thread.
- Other points in Caliburn EVO barrels: EVO uses Caliburn's own spigot mechanism instead of the M2.5 thread, and a Bull's CP retailer table names EVO as the system CP points do not fit.
- Other points in Mission R2.5 Rapid and One80 R2 barrels: our data holds no fit test of another brand's point in these barrels. One80 R2 is a different design entirely: the point is pressed in and held by a screw-on nose cap and rubber ring, not threaded.
- Shot Turbo Points in Target, Harrows or Winmau barrels: this direction is reported but not independently confirmed, and the point maker does not confirm cross-use, so treat it as a fallback only.
Which Darts Use Each Tip System?
In the MyDartFinder database (October 2026), 349 of 1,434 dart models use a swappable point system, about 24%. Target Swiss Point alone covers 189 of them, more than the other eight systems combined (160). Example models and their weights:
- Target Swiss Point (189, Target and Target Japan): Target Bolide 01 Swiss Point 90% (21g, 23g, 25g), Target Dimitri van den Bergh 95K Swiss Point 95% (22g to 24g).
- Harrows Quick Point (32): Harrows Ryan Searle V1 Quick Point 90% (22g to 32g), Harrows Wolfram Trinity Quick Point 97% (21g to 26g).
- Winmau Switch Point (20: 8 Winmau, 12 Red Dragon): Winmau Fornax Parallel Switch Point 90% (22g, 24g), Red Dragon Gerwyn Price Blue Original Switch Point 90% (23g, 24g, 26g).
- Shot Turbo Point (23): Shot Michael Smith Series II 90% (22g to 25g), Shot Goths Alaric 95% (23g to 25g).
- Caliburn EVO (50): Caliburn Sword 95% Tungsten S1 (21.5g, 23.5g), Caliburn Hunt 90% Tungsten H3 (19g, 21g). Some barrels labelled EVO in our data still await per-model confirmation, so check which Caliburn system a barrel uses before choosing points.
- One80 R2 Interchange (13): One80 Deta Hedman V3 R2 Interchange 90% (23g, 25g, 27g), One80 Lukas Wenig R2 Interchange 90% (22g, 24g).
- Bull's Convertible Point (8): Bull's Max Hopp 95% CP (23g to 25g), Bull's Prime Straight 90% CP (22g to 24g).
- Mission R2.5 Rapid (8): Mission Mike De Decker R2.5 V2 95% (22g, 24g).
- Caliburn EZ-EVO (6): Caliburn Rix 90% Tungsten R1 (21g, 23g, 25g), Caliburn Rix 90% Tungsten R4 (22g, 24g, 26g).
Expert Tips for Mixing Points and Barrels
Check every new pairing by eye before you throw it: a point that is not seated stops short and leaves a visible gap at the joint, which is how the Swiss-in-Winmau mismatch shows up in fit tests. If you see a gap, do not force the thread.
Treat Red Dragon Switch Point darts as Switch Point barrels, since Red Dragon uses the same thread as Winmau. One owner reports Swiss Points seating fully in Red Dragon Sable barrels, but until a fit test confirms it, our table keeps Swiss Points off the list for these barrels.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do Target Swiss Points fit Harrows darts?
Yes. Both systems use the M2.5 thread, and fit tests confirm Target Swiss Points in Harrows Quick Point barrels and Harrows Quick Points in Target Swiss Point barrels. One video guide to the screw-in systems still advises matching the point brand to the barrel brand for the best fit, so keep cross-fit points as spares.
Do Swiss Points fit Winmau Switch Point darts?
Not reliably. Two or more independent fit-test videos show Swiss Points threading into Winmau barrels but stopping short, leaving a gap at the joint. Harrows Quick Points (a tighter fit), Bull's CP points and Caliburn EZ-EVO points are confirmed fits in Winmau Switch Point barrels instead.
Do I need a separate tool for each tip system?
Usually, yes. Target, Harrows, Winmau, Mission, Shot and Bull's each supply their own point tool, and the Target key did not work on Quick, Switch or Bull's CP points in tests. The exception is the Mission R2.5 tool: one fit-test video found it removed all six other point types it tried, and an r/Darts owner report says it works on all brands.
Do Winmau Switch Points fit Target darts?
Usually, but check the seat. Winmau Switch Points thread into Target Swiss Point barrels, but they may sit slightly proud rather than flush, so confirm the fit barrel by barrel. They are a confirmed fit in Harrows Quick Point, Bull's CP and Shot Turbo barrels.
