Summary: MyDartFinder has a material connection to affiliate partners: we may earn a commission when you click a link and make a purchase. This financial relationship does not influence product rankings or recommendations, which are calculated by an independent algorithm.
Material Connection
MyDartFinder participates in affiliate programmes. This means we have a material connection (a financial relationship) with certain retailers: when a user clicks an affiliate link on this site and completes a qualifying purchase, we may receive a referral commission from that retailer. This relationship exists so you can make an informed decision about the information on this site.
Affiliate Programme Participation
These programmes provide a mechanism for the platform to receive referral fees for traffic or sales generated through site links. Commissions are paid by the retailer, not by the user. The price you pay is identical to the standard market rate.
MyDartFinder currently participates in the following programmes:
- Amazon Associates: As an Amazon Associate, MyDartFinder earns from qualifying purchases.
- eBay Partner Network: links to eBay listings on this site are affiliate links.
- Darts Corner: via the Adtraction affiliate network.
Impact on Recommendations
Rankings and technical scores are calculated by a client-side algorithm using a fixed dataset. The scoring logic is independent of affiliate relationships: no product is ranked higher because it has a buy link or earns us a higher commission. The ranking process occurs locally within the user's browser environment. Product photos and prices on dart cards, however, come from our affiliate partners' data feeds and listings, so darts sold by those partners are shown with a photo and a price while others are shown as a technical drawing, and where a model comes in several weights we may show the variant that has a photo. This affects how a dart is shown, not where it ranks.
Operational Sustainability
Affiliate commissions facilitate the maintenance of the technical database and the development of the platform's analysis tools. This model ensures the site remains free of charge for all users, avoids the use of third-party display advertising, and removes the necessity for user registration or data collection.
